This page is for all those in the midst of wedding planning who are googling “celebrant near me”, “Melbourne Celebrants” or couples wanting to know “how much does a marriage celebrant cost?”. Here you’ll find a smattering of wedding questions I hear regularly from couples on the search for their celebrant and MC.
I also enjoy asking questions on your behalf to other wedding suppliers like wedding photographers, wedding venues and gathering advice from couples freshly married; catch those conversations at The Wedding Guide Podcast

Yes, we provide a professional sound system for all events. We use the Sennheiser LSP Pro 500, one of the best portable PA systems in Melbourne. It delivers crystal-clear audio for weddings, funerals, MC hosting, and game nights, and is perfect for audiences from 10 to 350 people.
I’ll help you with your wedding vows right now. here’s a document that covers all the legal stuff and pages of samples for personal vows. You’ve got this! If you want me to double check them, I’d be more than happy to – just email them through to pe**@******************om.au
As a Master of Ceremonies (MC), I become the familiar face for all your wedding guests throughout the whole day whom they build trust with right from the start. It also allows your uncle or mate to enjoy the wedding while I run around keeping an eye on time and helping update all your suppliers.
You can play all your music through my sound system, however I highly recommend you choose someone else to press play. That way your friend feels included while I focus and nail your ceremony. For more on ceremony music, check out this blog post.
Yes you can, you don’t need citizenship, you could fly in at 8am, get married at 4pm and away by 10pm on the same day. You still need to do all the legal documentation like the Notice of Intended Marriage; but that’s where I help by guiding you through the process. I’ve married multiple couples from London, Bali, Singapore… and only saw them face to face on the day and still had an amazing wedding day.
The quickest summary is that we meet 3-4 months before the ceremony to sign your NOIM and begin your story. Have a run-through with the three of us; normally the week of the wedding. Then enjoy your awesome day!
As a professional Melbourne wedding celebrant, I know how important it is to have peace of mind on your wedding day. In the unlikely event that I can’t attend, I reach out to my trusted community of experienced celebrants to see who is available. You’ll always have the final choice of who steps in, and they will use the personalised wedding ceremony script we’ve already prepared together. I also ensure the final payment is transferred smoothly, so you’re never left in limbo.
In all my years as a celebrant, and after officiating hundreds of weddings, I’ve only ever had to miss one ceremony due to illness (tonsillitis. I literally couldn’t talk!). Your wedding ceremony will always be my priority, and you can be confident that even in rare circumstances, your day will still run seamlessly with a celebrant who delivers your story just as planned.
Yes, it’s a non-refundable booking fee. The reason is because once you book with me for your chosen time and date I avoid any couple as if they have COVID, no matter how sweet they are or how big their Instagram following may be. I’m all yours baby!!
I ask you about your colours/style and dress accordingly – some couples see previous wedding pictures and ask me to wear the same ensemble. I’m personally waiting for the day I get asked to wear nothing at all #thenaturalistcelebrant
Yes and No, every story that is the epicentre of each ceremony is completely unique because it’s your story. I have a few similar things I say for intro and transitions; but what I love doing is making the most of every moment. For example, when Callum and Breanna forgot the rings…well maybe just watch to see what I did (Watch it here by Bottle Brush Films)
Yea and it was great! I chatted with the friend and gave them guidance and some extra ideas along the way. Then on the day I did everything else, the legals, rings and vows.
To this day I remember it as a cracker of a wedding.
